Yoga postures (Asanas) curbs the restlessness of the physical body therefore enabling the mind to calm down. Certain postures compress certain organs to stimulate their functioning. Cleansing techniques clean the physical and energetic body and breathing techniques (Pranayama) invigorate and rejuvenate our energy, allowing us to go into meditation. During meditation our mind and body become one, transcend into serenity and bliss by removing mental and emotional disturbances. Therefore, positive changes will happen in our body through this process and enhance the recovery rate from psychosomatic diseases.

The Yoga Therapy Approach (prevention and management)
Breath: Learn to synchronise the breath with body movements to harness the power of breathing. By being mindful, you will learn to manage emotional and energy levels to relieve pain in specific areas and improve lung stamina.
Movement: Appropriate stretches to improve physical health, strengthen muscles, improve muscle endurance and to heal the inflamed/injured cartilages and ligaments. The movement will also improve flexibility and balance the hormones.
Kriyas: Specific Yogic cleansing practices to purify, detoxify, cleanse internal organs, heal the body and mind.
Connect: Yogic asanas to connect to the body and mind and for overall strengthening
Focus: Balancing poses and Asanas to improve focussing skills, memory as well as to train the mind to relax even in the state of concentration.
Relaxation: several types of mindful stimulations and relaxation techniques, to relax all the muscles and the area of pain/injury. Affirmations to release the negative emotions will also be exercised.
