CHANDRAN NARAYATH Started learning Yoga at an early childhood age of 10 (ten) and his initial trainings were under various Acharyas (teachers) in Kerala State, India. He started learning Yoga professionally in the year 1981. His first experience in Yoga is a memorable achievement in Sun salutation (537 times) conducted by a sports club. In 1983 he got selected to participate in the All India Yogasana Competition & Seminar conducted by Gugai
Prana YogaCentre, Selem in Tamilnadu. India. In 1984 he got first place in Yogasana competition conducted in memory of the V.R. Iyer’s 51 year celebration. He won the Trichur District Yogasana Championship three times continuously in 1984-85, 1985-86 And 1986-87 conducted by Trichur District Yoga Association. Chandran has also involved in many Yogasana championship as a judge.
In 1985 he achieved 3rd place in Kerala state Yogasana championship and subsequently won First place in the same competition in 1986. Calicut University Yogasana & Sun salutation Champion in 1987-88 Conducted by Calicut University. He also achieved 3rd place in Kerala State Yogasana Championship conducted by Govenrnment of India, Ministry of Human Resources Development Department (Nehru Yuva Kendra). His first professional qualification in teaching Yoga is in 1992 where he the completed “Yoga Teachers Training course” conducted by The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre and was awarded the status of“YOGA SIROMANI” (Teacher of Yoga). In 1995 he completed “Kaya Kalpa course” Simple Kundalini Yoga (SKY) conducted byThe World Community Service Centre. He is a degree graduate in Economics – Bachelor of Arts from University of Calicut. He is also the recipient of the member’s choice Award from Fitness First in2011 and 2012.His specialised & conducted Classes are Yoga Therapy, Hatha Yoga, Pranayama & Meditation, Sunsalutation series, Power Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Sivananda Yoga, Hot Yoga and Gentle Yoga.
